Simien Highlands & Lalibela

Ethiopia's historic route for the curious traveller

6 days / 5 nights 6 – 30 guests From USD 2380 per person sharing

Overview

Rock-hewn churches, castle towns, escarpment trekking and the original coffee ceremony.

Ethiopia's northern historic route is a cultural journey rather than a wildlife one, and it suits groups who want something to think about. We keep the flying short with domestic hops between Gondar, Lalibela and Addis, and build in the slow moments — a coffee ceremony, an injera lunch, an hour on the escarpment at Simien watching gelada troops.
